Are you ready to take your MI skills to the next level? In this intermediate Motivational Interview (MI) course you will build upon your existing foundational knowledge of MI by deepening your skill set with the intentional use of the four MI tasks: Engage, Focus, Evoke and Plan. You will strengthen your relational and technical MI competencies, learn to identify and respond to change talk, and apply fidelity tools to support ethical, client/patient-centered practice. Emphasis is placed on cultivating change talk, reducing discord, readiness-based planning and integration of MI skills into real-world encounters.

- Define the four tasks of MI and its key components.
