Summary

This three-hour course is instructed fully live online via Zoom by instructor Dr. Kailey Bradley, PhD on one day.

Childhood bereavement is a universal, yet often misunderstood experience that can significantly impact a child's emotional, behavioral, relational, and developmental functioning. This three (3) hour online training provides participants with a developmentally informed overview of how children understand and express grief across childhood and adolescence. Emphasis is placed on recognizing the wide range of normative grief responses, differentiating grief from trauma and psychopathology, and understanding how factors such as attachment, family systems, culture, and context shape a child's mourning process.
