Summary

In the 10-week Interaction Design and Prototyping for XR course, you will explore how to design new experiences for AR, VR and XR technologies, while equipping you with the best practices and fundamental toolbox to create intuitive and immersive user interfaces. We will cover a range of topics including, best UX and usability practices, visual design, prototyping and VR interactions, while giving you the theory behind XR development.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the process of designing new experiences for AR/VR/XR and how it differs from designing for web or mobile software.
  • Learn the best practices and patterns of design applied to immersive environments and XR applications.
  • Understand the usability considerations when designing for immersive experiences.
  • Familiarize yourself with the tools, processes and techniques to design interfaces and layouts.
  • Create prototypes for XR using industry-recognized tools such as Unity.
