Continue to refine your French conversational skills, practice your pronunciation, and brush up on grammar with a convivial group and an experienced instructor at the French House on UW–Madison's campus. A buffet lunch is included in the price. Materials are provided on the online platform Canvas and included in the price. Prerequisite: French 2 or instructor approval.

Course description

Refine your French conversational skills in person with an experienced instructor at the French House on UW-Madison's campus. Boost your confidence speaking while you learn to express opinions, use idiomatic expressions, and practice other topics that will help you hold conversations. Spend 45 minutes with the instructor and fellow participants to practice speaking and building your vocabulary. Then enjoy a meal together while continuing the conversation in French!

Nadia Louar

(PhD, UC Berkeley) has taught French language, literature, and culture for two decades. Her extensive teaching experience spans introductory language courses to advanced seminars in cultural studies and literature. She creates dynamic learning environments where students develop both their linguistic skills and cultural understanding, bringing the richness of francophone worlds into the classroom.
